Our client was interested in moving his home office out of his house while leveling his yard and making it more usable. The resulting design situates the new detached office such that it doubles as screening from the backyard neighbors. Large windows open this 120 square foot space onto the yard, making the office feel larger and more open.
A spacious patio was created between the new office and the home while an upper level lawn is a great place for this couple’s dogs to romp. A raised vegetable garden makes gardening easy and functions as a seat wall, framing the patio. The overall design integrates the Owners’ more modern aesthetic with the home’s architecture.
