Clyde Hill Outdoor Rooms

Clyde Hill Outdoor Rooms

Sometimes a new addition to the family creates the need for a new landscape – in this case that new family member was a puppy. This family wanted a covered outdoor space, larger patios as well as puppy-friendly pathways and plantings. An open mesh fence keeps the puppy inside but allows for the greenery around to grow through over time. The covered structure allows light to come through via large skylights and creates a three season room as well as a covered area for protection in the rain.
The meandering pathway is reminiscent of a dry stream bed and serves as the organizing element in the larger landscape. Two disjointed patios were redesigned and united to create a flow between spaces. The end result is a backyard that invites enjoyment throughout the seasons.
